i always want to roll a new character but can't think of a good enough name so i end up doing the same boring stuff with my main. ugh, why am i so retarded. i hate it. can't play a new char for more than 5 minutes because all the names i want are taken and it bothers me intensely. seriously why can't we have 1 name instead of 2.

I used to have a similar issue only with the character's looks :\ but yeah with so many accounts sold all the good names have been taken by now. Luckily, I don't worry much about the names

I am a master at coming up with names. Do you want to know some of my tricks?
Instead of using all letters I use numbers like 3l3mental, 8ringer of death, and gr8 0ne. Also when I am thinking of a name with first and last name I kind of switch the letters from one name to the other. For example, little shooter would be Listle thooter.

GW doesn't allow non-alphanumeric characters, at least on English servers, right? Or is there a way around this?

It is possible to have a name with numbers in it. I'm not sure exactly how it's done, but it isn't possible to do it with the settings of a generic English speaking player.

I believe Arena Net have stated somewhere that you will be able to have a one word name in Guild Wars 2.

I think you can only do it on Japanese accounts or something like that.

Guild Wars 2 allows 1 word names. You're in luck.

Well In GW1 you can just make 1 word name and add something like xx or ll as a 2nd word, it's no biggie
